Sure, Hair O’ the Dog is consistently the hottest single event production in Philly, bar none (just ask Philadelphia Nightlife Awards, who consistently rates it the “Best Event in Philly”). No one is disputing that. But it also provides something much bigger, more impactful and important than solely a venue in which Philadelphians can have a fun-filled, exciteful night of drinks, friends, partying and an all around good time at the Fillmore.
Of course, we’re talking about the charities it supports. From the very beginning in 1995, Hair O’ the Dog has existed to serve the crucial purpose of raising funds for local nonprofits and charity organizations.
With that said, we’re thrilled to announce that a portion of the 2017 Hair O’ the Dog profits will go to the organization that unconditionally supports children undergoing tough times, Bianca’s Kids. We couldn’t be prouder to work with them.

About Bianca’s Kids
Bianca’s Kids serves a simple, yet imperative, mission: to grant less fortunate youngsters with the wishes of their dreams! The organization takes an all-welcoming approach with to whom they grant wishes. Whether it’s a child suffering from a chronic disease, a PTSD victim, a foster child, someone struggling with an autism spectrum disorder or a number of other occurrences, Bianca’s Kids works tirelessly to supply them with the little things that can help make their lives all the happier.
It doesn’t take a fortune to make a child happy, and to show them that they are loved. Maybe it’s a doll they’ve wanted, or a trip to see their favorite character. Whatever it is, Bianca’s Kids will do everything in their power to make an underprivileged child’s dream come true.
Recent Wishes
Bianca’s Kids continually grants wishes to children, parents, guardians and caretakers who apply. These are a few of their most recent fulfilled wishes:
Logan – After living through an unexpected tornado, Logan suffers from PTSD. His parents wanted to do something special for his birthday, but money was a bit tight. So, Bianca’s Kids granted Logan’s wish, and funded his monster jam themed birthday party!
Bella – After spending 12 years in foster care, Bella was recently permanently adopted by parents family who will forever share their loving family and home with her. However, due to some emotional issues, it’s impossible for Bella to be around animals. So, Bianca’s Kids granted her wish to receive a Little Live Pets Snuggles My Dream Puppy, which she appreciated very much!
Lilly– Lilly is a toddler who was recently diagnosed with neuroblastoma. Her favorite character is Elmo, and her dream is to visit Sesame Place to meet her hero. However, due to the high cost of her medical bills, it is hard for her mother to set money aside for purchasing tickets. Bianca’s Kids came to the rescue by supplying Lilly and her family four tickets to Sesame Place. She is excited to meet Elmo!
The Backstory
After feeling tired of mourning, Debbie Savigliano reached out to her cousin Vanessa Andricola with an idea not long after their mutual family member, Bianca Yodice, was tragically struck by a car at age 21 while on her way to work at a daycare center. The idea was, in honor of Bianca, to fulfill her dreams of helping underprivileged and sick children.
So Debbie and Vanessa started the foundation, Bianca’s Kids, and haven’t looked back since. They work tirelessly around the clock to fulfill children’s wishes, fueled by never losing touch with the fact that Bianca would’ve done exactly the same.
We’re proud to be able to donate a portion of the Hair O’ the Dog proceeds to Bianca’s Kids. It’s only a small part to play, but we’re happy that we can help.

In case you haven’t heard the announcement yet, Hair O’ the Dog 2017 is set to take place on January 7 at the Fillmore, in Fishtown, Philadelphia. Food and drinks will be catered by Wolfgang Puck.
